How to Improve Your Online Marketing for 2014

Posted by Jeffrey Cohen on Fri, Jan 10, 2014 @ 03:22 PM

Yes! I want my marketing tactics to be less effective! said no marketer ever. There are a lot of trends emerging in the digital marketing world for 2014, and if you don't roll with the times, you'll find your company's marketing campaigns less effective. Who wants that!

With a new year comes a great opportunity to take a step back, and re-evaluate your marketing strategy. Is it time to take a new direction? Statistics say yes. Just to name a few changes you should consider:

If you haven't gotten your online marketing campaign up and running, be like Nike, and just do it. Your audience is on the Internet, I promise. People search and shop online BEFORE making any kind of commitment or purchase, we just live in the age of online shopping.

With mobile device usage on the rise, you'll want to ensure your website looks pristine on smart phones and tablets. And, since all smart phones, tablets, and laptop computers come in different shapes and sizes, you're going to need to get a handle on a responsive design.

Not only should you take into consideration the look and feel of your website, but you should also assess your buyer personas. Over the last year, has your target audience changed? What groups are responding better, and which groups are you having trouble connecting with?

Another important aspect of online marketing is social media. It's time to get your social media campaigns in full gear to ensure you're building and cultivate relationships with your clients.
