How to Prepare Your Holiday Marketing Campaign

Wow, November 26th already, where has the time gone! Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just a few days away, and soon after that starts Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Year's? It's time to get into the holiday spirit people!

Everyone loves the holidays, and what better way to delight your customers than with holiday inspired marketing?

Between November to January, the holiday season becomes a big deal. Shoppers are on shopping mode, digging for sales, deals, and stellar gift ideas.

If you haven't gotten your holiday marketing campaign up and running yet it's time to do so. Take some time to research what areas you should implement holiday themed content. Keep reading for some quick tips to get your holiday marketing on track!

Think about how you want to rework your campaign. Each holiday provides you with a unique opportunity to reinvent and rethink your marketing campaign. A good place to start your holiday campaign change-up is to strategize how you can promote your brand throughout the major holiday season including, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year's. And, if you really want to boost your product sales, you may also want to include holiday shopping days like Black Friday or Cyber Monday. You don't have to incorporate each of these holidays, but recognizing and integrating holidays that you feel could yield the best results for your company. Once you've identified which holidays you'd like to focus on it's time to get your holiday plan in motion.

Don't feel like you only have to focus only on Christmas. Just because you are creating a holiday marketing campaign doesn't mean your making it strictly for Christmas, and you don't have to launch it only for December. There are plenty of special holidays and events surrounding Christmas you can focus on as well. Try making a few "holiday" inspired offers that can translate to more than one holiday through small edits. Holidays you could potentially tie together are Thanksgiving and Black Friday, or Christmas and New Year's.

Create Holiday themed offers. When you are promoting your holiday marketing campaign, you'll need to create offers also centered around your campaign theme. If you are going to incorporate Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you may want to include discounts in your offers. Along with creating holiday themed offers you will also need to make holiday inspired content. Incorporate holiday themed pictures, banners, web pages, images, buttons, and more to merry up your holiday look for your website.

Optimize your new holiday keywords. If you've added new targeted holiday themed keywords for your marketing campaign don't forget to add them to your content like your blog posts, or even your website itself. You may also want to take a look at adding some holiday themed keywords into your PPC strategy as it could give you a quick boost during the holiday season.
