Creating your identity represents what distinguishes your brand from the competition. Establish an identity exhibited through your brand by content, color, images and an effective strategy.  A valuable brand maintains a consistent identity reflecting your business' values. Identify Your Brand 

You need to walk before you run so it is important to decide who you are and what you stand for. Establishing this identification will help you further your identity and then focus on how you can present yourself to the public. Understanding who you are will help humanize your brand so people can understand you as well as you do. People want a business they can trust but they can't trust you if you don't even know who your are. An effective and valuable corporate identity reflects your business' core values. Your brand represents you and will be the biggest component for people choosing you from the rest of your competitors. Once your brand is developed you can start to focus on other factors for business growth and expansion. 

Establish A Buyer Persona 

The people who are are drawn to your brand will also help grow an effective corporate identity. But, first you need to know who your audience will be. Narrowing down who your main buyers will be help you focus on your brand's tone and how to identify your business. Establishing a buyer persona will minimize time wasted trying to appeal to an unrealistic amount of people. You can't please everyone and brand's need to be focused on appealing to one personalized group at a time. To get started on defining your audience, gather demographic information. This includes information such as their occupation, income, hobbies, gender, education level and residential location. This  information doesn’t give you everything needed but it's a good way to get started in the development process. 

Develop A Strategy 

The strategy you develop will include your brand's identity and buyer persona but also take it a step further. Your strategy will be how you present your brand to your target buyers. In what ways will you communicate with your audience? Create a budget so you can effectively promote and communicate through different platforms such as optimized content on your landing pages, business blogging and social media. Your strategy will give you the means it takes to build an effective corporate identity. Your strategy should set the tone of your brand's identity and the people you are trying to appeal to.  

Maintain Communication 

If you want your business to grow, then you need to be constantly trying to improve and growing with your customers. Keep providing them with quality content and information from your site and blogging. Communicate with them through email promotions offering loyal customers with discounts and deals. Be fun and creative on social media platforms that make your brand relatable and unique.  Maintaining communication and keeping up with content will prove to people that you are a brand they can trust. People will not go to your site if you have outdated information. If you don't take the time to work on your brand, why should people take the time to get to know you?
