Google has recently indicated that it will start using the speed at which a site loads as a priority in page ranking. An article published in issue 168 of Web Designer magazine states that "searches will now factor in how fast a page loads which will directly relate to how a site ranks in Google". Based on our experience as a web design firm, this is the first time that a fast Web site will actually be rewarded by a search engine.
