HubSpot just announced the release of two new technology platforms that promise to empower salespeople in the same way they’ve empowered marketers. While it’s still early, both HubSpot CRM and the newly enhanced tool Sidekick look to be game changers.
Hubspot's new sales platform seeks to transform sales in the same way that the inbound marketing platform has helped to transform marketing. Essentially, the HubSpot marketing platform is designed to deliver helpful, engaging content to people, when and where they need it. The HubSpot CRM tool attempts to follow this same service philosophy.
While some CRMs are frustrating and time consuming, HubSpot CRM features an intuitive user experience and can automatically capture the important details of interactions during the sales cycle.
The following is a list of a few key benefits of Hubspot’s new releases:
Anonymous Personalization
With the introduction of anonymous personalization, HubSpot users can now personalize their content for anyone based on their country, device, and referral source.
Email Updates & Optimization
With HubSpot's new update of the Email Dashboard, users can access all of their important email analytics in one place. They've also introduced the Email Optimization tool (similar to the blog optimization tool). With email optimization, HubSpot will alert you of any key marketing elementsthat might be missing from your emails.
Contact Database
Built for the scale of today’s data, this feature allows you to collect and store info on contacts, companies, deals, and tasks. To make life easier, the database automatically creates company records, associates contacts, and re-duplicates leads.
Sidekick
To coincide with the CRM announcement, Hubspot also announced the major re-launch of their Signals sales tool as "Sidekick." With Sidekick, your sales time will be able to instantly access the marketing data in your CRM, offering more lead intelligence than ever before, and helping them close more deals. Here are a few of Sidekick's capabilities:
-
Add new contacts directly to your CRM and organize them into lists
-
All tools are compatible with the Salesforce CRM and Hubspot CRM, with certain features able to work in conjunction with other CRM products as well
-
When you open your contact's email or visit their website, you are able to access that contact's important marketing data from the sidebar on your screen
-
You can call contacts directly from your laptop and are able to type notes and record the conversation to store for future reference. By eliminating the need for representatives to take careful notes during their calls, you are able to listen more intently to the prospects in the now.
-
Perhaps the only caveat: the Sidekick service is FREE to use for up to 200 contacts, but only $10 per month for unlimited notifications.
Final Thoughts
During the Inbound conference, Brian Halligan outlined a detailed vision for Hubspot's sales product:
"We started HubSpot because we felt the way consumers shop and buy had fundamentally changed. The inbound movement has helped transform the world of marketing, and we really feel like there's a huge opportunity to transform the customer experience with sales technology that enables companies to sell more, better, and faster."
It seems that Halligan's vision has come to fruition: HubSpot has provided a system that will astonish both experienced and novice users. As we learn more of the 'nitty-gritty' details of the CRM, we will be sure to keep you posted with fresh suggestions and insight. So stay tuned!
